Nothing. MusMe is free and has no ads. It is a personal project by four people: Andrea, Alexander, Andrei and Damiano.
No. Collection, ratings, reviews, Rooms and chats work with just a MusMe account. Connecting a service adds plays, charts, the full Rewind and the Jukebox.
When enough people are waiting for a new record, MusMe opens a 72-hour room: discussions, reviews, track ratings and, with Spotify, a listening chart. At the end comes the verdict.
In normal use, messages are end-to-end encrypted and the server cannot read them. A chat lasts 24 hours after acceptance; when it ends, the server deletes the encrypted messages. If you report the chat, it ends and you can send the team up to 30 messages you select; the team can read them for up to 90 days. The encryption has not had an independent audit.
Notes and ratings stay yours until you publish the review. One exception: your rating of a record someone recommended goes back to them.
The catalogue and cover art come from MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive, the open databases of music.
You can report a review. After several reports, it may be hidden automatically.
