Terms of service
The terms of use of the MusMe app, free and without ads.
Last updated: 31 October 2026
The service
MusMe is a free app operated by Andrea Morachioli, Alexander Hidalgo, Andrei Balan and Damiano Corini, not available in France. It lets you keep your collection of albums and tracks, write reviews, follow people, swap music recommendations, listen together in the Jukebox and see a recap of your year. Contact: info@musme.app.
By using MusMe you agree to these terms. The privacy policy explains how we process personal data; reading it does not, by itself, amount to consent.
Your account
You must be at least 14 and declare your date of birth. Age is self-declared: we do not ask for identity documents or independently verify the date, and we do not collect parental or guardian consent. We use the date to assign an age band; for minors, we keep the exact date they turn 18, from which their date of birth can be worked out, and delete it when they become adults. An account that declares an age under 14 cannot use normal features and can only sign out or delete itself. Existing accounts must also declare their age before using MusMe again; until they do, they can only sign out or delete the account. The legal age for online consent may vary by country. Sign in with email and password: keep them safe and use password recovery if you lose access.
Your content
It stays yours. When you publish a review, make a list public, publish a Room post or reply, or complete a swap, you allow us to show it to other users inside MusMe until you remove it or delete your account.
Do not post illegal, offensive, threatening, hateful or harassing content, content that infringes others' rights, or other people's personal data.
Moderation
You can report people, reviews and chats and block other users. Reporting a chat ends it for both people; the report alone does not block the account. Blocking is a separate action. You may choose up to 30 messages to attach: the team reviewing the report can read them and keeps them for up to 90 days, unless account deletion removes them sooner; the text is supplied by your device and we cannot verify its authenticity. If the message is still on our server, we match its ID, sender and time against chat metadata; otherwise, those details remain unverified. Here, “friends” means accounts that follow each other. Two adults who are not friends may send a request containing only a music card; it must be accepted before they can exchange messages. Adults and minors can never chat privately, even if they are friends. Two adult friends and two minor friends may chat directly; minor non-friends cannot start a chat. Published reviews and lists, replies, and Room posts or replies may be automatically hidden when reports reach the applicable thresholds. Repeated reports or multiple hidden items may automatically trigger a temporary read-only restriction if the feature is enabled. After a human review, we may also manually suspend chat requests, acceptances and messages for 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days; open chats are closed. We will give you the reason and you can appeal in the app. This measure is not triggered automatically by a report and does not ban the account. We do not automatically ban someone for every report; a ban is an administrative decision. You can appeal a decision in the app for at least six months and the team can review it. After deleting your account you can appeal by writing to info@musme.app within the same period. A suspended account can still sign out or delete itself. For other disputes write to info@musme.app.
Music services and catalogue
Connecting Spotify or Apple Music is optional; Spotify is available from age 14. Features that use these services depend on their terms and availability. The collection catalogue uses MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive; listening data, charts, playlists and their images come from the connected service, Spotify or Apple Music. They may contain errors. Rights to music and images remain with their owners.
Conditions for using Spotify
MusMe is independent of Spotify and does not imply Spotify’s endorsement or sponsorship. MusMe’s operators are responsible for their own service; Spotify and other third-party providers are not liable for MusMe.
We give no warranties on Spotify’s behalf. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement regarding the Spotify platform, service and content.
You must not modify or create derivative works based on the Spotify platform, service or content. To the full extent allowed by law, you must not decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer or reduce them to source code or another human-perceivable form.
Spotify is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and the privacy policy and may directly enforce these terms. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
Copyright reports
If you believe content is illegal, even without an account, use the form at musme.app/en/report or the “It is illegal” option in the app: we confirm receipt and tell you the decision and how to challenge it. If you believe content infringes your rights, write to info@musme.app with the content or link, the protected work, the reason for the report and your contact details. We review requests and, when necessary, restrict access or remove the content. Repeated infringement may lead to account suspension.
Availability and liability
MusMe is offered free of charge as is: we do our best to keep it working, but it may have interruptions or errors and we may change or close features. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Leaving
You can stop using MusMe and delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.
Changes and governing law
If we change these terms we update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app. Italian law applies, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of your country.
